Wildcarch search not working in searchView URL command?

I’m running into a problem where I’m trying to perform a wildcard search on a view using the searchView URL command. The db is full text indexed. And nothing happens when the search is performed. To be honest I’m not sure that it’s my query or if it’s that I have a setting on the view wrong, and I can’t tell from the documentation what I’m doing wrong. I’ve been out of the notes world for a little while, and I’m only helping out a friend for a short term project.

I had been formatting my URL as such:

…BasicView?SearchView&Query=([FirstName]=Br*)&SearchOrder=4&SearchWV=TRUE&SearchFuzzy=TRUE

Then after a post here, I thought perhaps I might need to do the following, but that didn’t work:

…BasicView?SearchView&Query=([FirstName]+CONTAINS+Br*)&SearchOrder=4&SearchWV=TRUE&SearchFuzzy=TRUE

Thoughts?

Subject: wildcarch search not working in searchView URL command?

I do not know why, but it seems Domino does not like to use FUZZY at the same time as wildcards. I’m not aware if this is bug or feature.
