Hi
I think widgets could be very useful and I have started to play with them, in particular showing mini views from our own Notes dbs.
I have some questions, though :
-
I assume the creating a catalog and adding widgets to it means users can just select them from the catalog to add to their own mail fail rather than configuring them each time? If so, I would like to set up a catalog, but when I try to create a db on the server with the toolbox.ntf template, it tells me I am not authorized to perform that operation. I don’t understand this, as I have full system admin rights and can create dbs with any other templates. Any ideas what is causing this?

Is there any way of pushing widgets out to users - ie, say we create a new one, can we centrally push it to all or selected users without them having to do anything?
-
This is really annoying - is there any way to restore the sizes of the widgets when the client restarts - it always seems to close all widgets, then when you reopen them with the minimize icon, they open to the last size set, but with a minimum of around 260 pixels which is too big for my needs.
Ideally, when the client is restarted, the widgets would auto-open to the last size they were shown at.
Or, if not possible, why won’t it remember a height of less than 260px on minimize?
- With feeds, I assume all feeds are loaded by each client- so if you have 500 clients all with the same feed, they are each loading the feed regularly, which can impact bandwidth. Is there any way of centralising this so the Domino server (ie,one machine) calls the feeds, and the clients call the data from this?
