Hello, all!
I’ve been requested to build a search function within the Notes client, whereby any user can do a full text search across multiple archive mail files. Or, the mail files would have to only be the ones belonging to the user.
I’m pretty sure I can build an agent for this, however, the request is to have it in the search bar or as a widget.
To be honest, I have no idea where to start looking. =8P Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
That being said, once it’s done, I’ll ask permission to submit it to OpenNTF.
Thanks, in advance!

You could explore that as a possibility.
Also if you don’t need to search attachments you could try configuring the old style multi db site search database (template is still shipped in 8 I believe)

Thanks, Melissa!
Unfortunately, this is so users can search their own mail archives. Over 2000 users have between 3-20 mail archives each, and they can only look at their own.
I was looking at the “Domain Search” from the catalog db, and thinking of something like that. I can add that to the mail file with an agent that will get the results.
I suppose my bigger question is how can I include that in the main search field in the Notes client, and how can I include it in “Recent Searches”?
Thanks!
