I have been faffing about all day with widgets and Composite Applications - I am now just totally lost :o(
I have a bunch of databases on the server. These databases are organized by department i.e. I have one folder per department. I have created group documents for each department. I would now like to display a page where the users only see databases that they have access to. In Notes I have created a Page that contains a table with hide when formulas based on the group documents. I then set this page as the homepage for the users. They really like this as they only see the databases that they have access to - no doing File/open and looking through the folders.
What I would now like is if this page could be displayed in the sidebar. I could then set email as the homepage - when somebody wants to open a database they open the sidebar and see list of the databases that they have access to. My powerusers could access the databases via Ctrl-O as usual.
I do understand that hide when’s do not stop the users from accessing the DB’s if they are in the ACL - what I want is just a quick and easy way for the users to find the databases that they need.
