Why this codes is not working:Call source.Document.AppendItemValue("$RespondedTo", 1)?

Hi,I added these codes on queryclose of Memo form in mail template,

Call source.Document.AppendItemValue(“$RespondedTo”, 1)

Call source.Document.Save(True,True)

It is not working, I cannot get $RespondedTo Item in the mail document, but if I change it to this;

Call source.Document.AppendItemValue(“RespondedTo”, 1)

Call source.Document.Save(True,True)

It works, it seems we can not use $RespondedTo on appenitemvalue,

Anybody know how to append $RespondedTo to document?

Thanks in advance,

Fields which are preceded by a $ are Reserved fields by Domino.

It would be disastrous if you could change the value of $REF (The UNID) among other things.

You can probably read from it, but not write to it.

Hi Luc,Thanks a lot for the help,

So you are mean we can not change it by using LotusScript codes?

But I tried to use this agent to change it by select one mail in mail box, it works, FIELD $RespondedTo :=“1”;

SELECT @All

Does that mean I can change it using formula and can not change it by using lotusscripts?

Thanks again,

Hi Peter

I am trying to resolve the same issue at the moment so was wondering if you ever figured out an answer to this through Lotusscript or is it a fact that we cannot manipultae ‘$’ fields this way???

Thanks
