Hi!
I made several rules to move incoming mails to different folders in notes client. But it works inproperly. Some mails with matched header fields moved but may did not moved. How to make rules reliable? I sent same test emails myself from far server via smtp. Appx 10% mails was matched and 90% unmatched by rule. %$#%^!@#…
How to move all mail from POP acount to special folder?
How to use special mail headers in rules except shown in rule creation menu system?
Where to say to move deleted mail to trash folder immediatelly or dont show deleted mails in other forlder? I cant find this feature…

Subject: Why mail rules does not work properly?
Because rules are implemented in the router task, they don’t work with POP mail - only with mail coming through the Domino server.
To delete documents immediately, go to the Advanced properties of the database and turn off “Allow soft deletions”

Is possible to fetch pop/imap mail periodically by server not client?

Not natively. There are a number of third-party tools which make it possible.

Can the server fetch email via POP or IMAP? Now I use fetchmail utility but its not a pure solution.

To work around this, I had my pop mail forwarded by my other account.

I’m guessing you meant forwarded to your other account (ie the Notes account.).
This will work, so long as the rules you are trying to apply don’t rely on the Sender field.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the mail was forwarded unchanged from AT&T to my work mailbox. The only way I can tell they weren’t dropped there by my POP client is by scanning the Received headers.
