Hi All
I have a database with parent document and corresponding response document. What i am trying to figure out is when i copy these documents across to another database the response hierarchy is maintained ( although the document id of the parent document changes ).
Can any one please let me know how is the link between parent and child retained when i copy documents across to other database ?.

The Notes client is intentionally designed to do this; it’s a feature. And yes, it will work across databases; try it. There are two features here, which work independently or together:
When pasting a response document into a view, the document will automatically be made a response to the selected document. This is independent of the document’s source database.
When pasting multiple documents in a response hierarchy into a database, that response hierarchy will be maintained.
