Why does the Buddy List always reopen in the same position?

Using integrated Sametime in Notes 8.5.1 Basic client . . . . Open the “Instant Contact List” and move the window to another location on your screen.

Close Notes

Open Notes and login to ST again. The IC List will reopen, but where it always does - not where it was when the client was closed.

I can change the location/size of the window by changing the values in the BuddyListPos= line in notes.ini:

BuddyListPos=100 100 200 400 is the default, but if I change it to something like

BuddyListPos=400 100 300 600 it will open in the new location consistently, but it’s not exactly easy to do this for thousands of users in an environment. I’m guessing this is a bug, but I’ve not found much info on it anywhere.

Anyone have an idea?
