After upgrading a couple of users to Notes 8.5 we noticed that if we receive an attachment from someone outsite the company we cannot “Save and Delete” the attachment. The only option is to “Save”. If someone inside the company sends an attachment we have both options, “Save” and “Save and Delete”.
Why is the “Save and Delete” option not available for Internet sent messages?

But now that you mentioned it, I see the same thing in my client. The difference seems to be with where the attachment is displayed in the message or rather where it is stored.If it is attached in the Body of the message, then you can Save & Delete it.
If it is attached to the message itself, displayed above the body text, then Save & Delete is disabled. Along with a few other options, like the Edit option, too.
By the way, all those options become available if you edit the email. But how many users know how to do that.
Looks like a bug or a feature oversight to me. Hopefully will be fixed in 8.5.1.
