Why are all my attachments ending up at the bottom of the memo even though im sending it out within the body of the text?
No other colleage in my office has this problem… I need to send emails out with various attachments throughout the body of the message. During composition the attachments are added to the respective places but after sending I have been told the recipient is receiving the email with all the attachments thrown at the bottom below my signature.
This is giving me quite the headache… as you can see im asking this question during my weekend… The IT guys at work think im crazy and my manager doesnt think i know how to send an email!
If attempted removing signature and various test emails to colleages but ive had no luck… I am contemplating a re-install this week… any suggestions!@

HERE IS A VISIUAL EXPLANATION
the users are company employees so I assume its their Notes mail address… although I do have some people listed in my contacts list. I have attempted test emails to single users and such.
let me make a visual explanation… here is how i compose the memo----
item description
[XLS icon or DOC]
item description
[XLS icon]
item description
[XLS icon]
john.doe@xx.com
main st. usa
555-555-9999
NOW I send → and the users are receiving the message as follows:
item description
item description
item description
john.doe@xx.com
main st. usa
555-555-9999

as you see all the attachments are going to the bottom of the message… in my sent folder i appears as i had intended but the recipients are telling me the format is off!

Are you sending to users at their Notes mail addresses or their internet addresses? If you have these people listed in your personal address book with their internet addresses, the message is probably being converted to MIME format before sending. While MIME is a perfectly nice standard for email, it doesn’t quite have the capabilities of native Notes mail, so some things will get lost in the translation (like attachment links in rich text, code behind hotspots, and so forth).

Yes, I understood what the mail document winds up looking like – your first description was adequate. Again, check your address book. You are NOT sending to people at their Notes address if they are listed in your address book with an internet mail address.

Your original posting was clear enough. There was no need to elaborate.

Editing the Location document and changing from MIME format to Notes Rich Text format will resolve the problem of the attachments showing up at the bottom of the message.
