I have a form which contains codes, and indicators which show what forms they belong on. Code | Form
R N, P, X, C
SL N,X,C
S P, C
I would like to pull all codes which have N in them and use them to populate 40 drop down boxes on another form. Would it be more appropriate to make a separate view which shows the corresponding codes or pull them back in a DBLookup?
I was thinking of displaying them in one view and then doing a lookup. But I’d like to do whatever makes the most sense in domino world.
Thanks,
Gil

HiIf you have lots of docs and a finite number of forms, you should consider doing a view per form, and then index the DB.
If not, use a DBLookup.

I have 2500 documents using 4 forms with 42 drop downs on each form. So I could make 4 views and populate the drop downs from each view with a DBcolumn correct?
I just want to do something that won’t destroy performance.
