One of our mail servers hung this morning and I’d like to do nsd -kill. Is it run from the directory with the name of the mail server? Ta

I believe you just need to drop to a command prompt, then if the Notes Program Path isn’t in your Environment Path, navigate to the Domino Program Directory and issue the “NSD -Kill”. I usually use “NSD -Detach” followed by the “NSD -Kill” to collect additional data.

Subject: The data directory
NSD runs from the data directory. On Windows, if you run from the program directory and notes.ini is in the program directory then NSD will use notes.ini to find the data directory and continue running.
You don’t need -detach btw, it’s the default. Always on *nix and on Windows as long as you run something newer than Win2000.
