Per SPR#CGAA5WJMUU, there’s the situation where you click on the Archives link in iNotes and you get error 404 instead. Although there’s a convoluted workaround (especially if you have to perform it on several hundred mail files) it only works if the archive is on the same server as the mailbox.
Unsurprisingly we don’t have them on the same server as that would be self-defeating with regards to keeping mail server performance at top-notch.
What I have done is create a redirect database that when the user accesses the URL at http://archives.mycompany.com can detect and redirect the browser to the correct server with the archive on it (with no second login thanks to SSO).
What I need to know though is where to find the code that creates the iNotes page, specifically the code for the Archives link. I want to replace it’s functionality so that it just has a straight hyperlink to the archive redirect DB. I’ve had a poke around in the mail template and also in the iNotes6.ntf as well but am really not sure where exactly to look.
If someone would be kind enough to let me know, I’ll try it out and if working will be happy enough to provide the redirect agent for all and sundry.
