The calendar is part of the mail file database or template.

No offense, but this is VERY basic Notes knowledge and if you’re trying to administer/support a Domino/Notes system you should get some professional help right away. Notes is not something anyone can pick up in a few weeks by reading manuals, etc. and you are begging for disaster to try and do this yourself.

I like how you start off with “No Offense,” then go on to be completly offensive. You know nothing about this person and what they are trying to accomplish. Please leave your attitude out of these forums! By the way, you don’t have to be a huge company to purchase Lotus Notes. Not every company needs a Notes expert to maintain a stable email server.

Five mea break, yes, I started calling him names and berating him, who has the attitude, you or me? Would you like an amateur mechanic with no experience tuning up your mint condition 72 Ferrari as well? And to tell him he has no business working on the car would be offensive, is that what you are saying? How about a premed student doing a little brain surgery on you? There are MANY situations where at least some expertise and experience are needed, and administration of a system like Notes (or Exchange or a DB2 server or…) can NOT be properly done by someone who is not qualified. I was doing him a FAVOR by telling him to get some qualified help before he does some real damage. I agree that you can use Notes in almost any size company, that still doesn’t mean that anyone can handle a Notes system without any training or experience, its just NOT POSSIBLE and it was pretty easy to tell from his question that he knew next to nothing about Notes when he posted it. Even a self-appointed manners policeman like you should realize that from his post.
