Where do I see or set up admin access rights?

The title says it all.

I have an admin who can’t create users (but can do all other admin tasks) and I’d like to check his access rights. The weird thing is that if I try creating a user with his ID file and password, I can do it.

His admin account is listed in the server document fields “create new databases” and “create new replicas”.

Subject: Please provide more details

What happens when the admin tries to create a new user? In other words, how does the problem manifest itself?

Subject: Thanks, more details.

He users People → Register and fills up the window and panels with the appropriate info. He adds the user to the queue and clicks on Register now.

Then he gets an error message: “FAILED: logon failure: unknown user name or bad password”.

The requirement we have regarding passwords is that they have to be 8 characters long and with letters and numbers. Besides not having 2 users with the same name under the same OU, I can’t really think of anything else. He saves the ID files on his server, just like I do with mine (2 diff servers).

We don’t have the same OU cert.id.

Subject: could be wrong, but sounds like the wrong cert.id password.

(no, I did never see this, but with the wrong password to the user, he most likely could not access the server at all, and there is no third password involved)

Subject: Then you don’t need to change rights at all.

At least if both of you use the same cert id with the same password and the same server to creat the person.

If all are true, it is his client side installation.
