I created a new lotus account for a special project and I want members of the project team to be able to switch between their normal account and the project account… I copied the id file of the project account to their machines and switched them using File>security>switch ids.
But when you try to open the mailbox it returns the error “you are not authorized to access the database”
Will appreciate any help I can get on this. I use lotus 9 running on windows 10

You must create two locations. One location for one user then for each user in the location document enter the exact name of the mail database.
Location document:
Basic tab: change name of location (eg. User 1 or USer 2)
Mail tab: Field: Mail file: Enter the name of the mail database for User 1 or User 2
(eg, mail\user1)
Advanced tab => Basic => Field: User ID to switch to:===> Browse and select for User 1 ID file.
Save and close.
Always when you start a Lotus Notes, just change the location and the username will change itself on logon screen.
