When is design refresh for Bookmark.nsf triggered?
I wanted to know when does Lotus Notes refresh the design of the Bookmark.nsf from Bookmark.ntf, i.e. after how many (or which) design elements have been deleted from Bookmark.nsf triggers the design refresh.
I tried the followin combinations:

Deleted all framesets → Triggered design refresh at start of Lotus Notes

Deleted one frameset → Does NOT trigger design refresh at start of Lotus Notes

Deleted Welcome frameset → Does NOT trigger design refresh at start of Lotus Notes
Subject: design refresh in Bookmark.nsf (and names.nsf)
An automatic design refresh of both Bookmark.nsf and Names.nsf is triggered with every new release of Notes.
You can trigger it manually by doing the following:
Exit Notes
Edit notes.ini
Find the TemplateSetup variable and delete the last number (effectively lowering the number)
Save changes
Re-launch Notes
Setup will automatically refresh the design of the two databases.
Subject: Never
The design refresh on the local bookmark.nsf database is never triggered automatically. You must do it manually “File->Application->Refresh Design”.
However, it’s automatically refreshed when you first run the client after an upgrade.
