In one of our applications we have documents that seem to randomly have the $papercolor and $papercolorex fields set. In the same database I can look at 2 documents created by the same person in the same fashion and one will have these fields set and one will not have the fields at all. Is there something in Notes that sets this field under certain circumstances? I have searched the forums and Internet and have not found anything except references to how to set it and also how the $papercolorex field has tripped people up. We have ran a search on the database in question and the only place that $papercolor comes up is our agent we have to delete the fields from the documents that come up with the messed up background.

Thanks for the response. This is in an application only our IT department uses and they aren’t changing the background themselves. There is something going on somewhere that introduces this field to the document and I have not been able to find a pattern to when it does it.
