What launches when opening database

Hi! I had a question regarding launching the database-

I have a database that when opened first launches the About Database document. It appears that the view last used is also opened at this time. Does anyone know if there is a setting under database properties or view properties I should set or remove so only the About Database opens up. Under database properties under the launch tab I have “Open About Database Document”.

In that same tab it is also set to “Restore as last viewed by user”. You need to set the object to load whatever you want them to view by default in “When opened in the Notes client”.

I am alittle confused. I have “Open About Database document” in the “When Opened in the Notes Client”. I don’t have a check though in “Restore as last viewed by user”. Are you saying I should?

Nope, you shouldn’t check that off if you don’t mean it. The ‘About’ page simply opens on top of what you’ve selected for the database open option - either the ‘last viewed’ or default view. Something in the database has to be displayed when it opens.

If you only want the ‘About’ page and nothing else you may need to change your main database frameset to have the Content frame display the About page on open instead of a default view.
