What is the version of Java for Lotus Notes/Domino Release 8.5?

Hi Friends,I wish to know what is the java version of Lotus Notes/Domino Release 8.5.

The lotus notes/domino 7 have java 1.4 similarly what is the java version for lotus notes 8.5

Subject: Depends on what you’re doing…

  • If I recall it has both 1.5 & 1.6. If you are doing XPages you’re forced to use 1.5 or it will break. I presume if you’re not using XPages you may choose to use 1.6. At least that’s how it was with R8.5. R8.5.1FP3 may be different kettle of fish.
