What is the HEX code in notes.ini?

Looking at the Location entry in my notes.ini, it is set to Office (Network) 8FE CN=xxxxxxxxx

Where xxxxxxx is my common name value.

Does anyone know what the “8FE” represents? If I reconfigure my Notes Client this value gets changed to a different Hex value, it seems randomly generated but it must do something. Does anyone know?

It’s the NoteID of the Location Document.

ofcnoteid$ = PABdoc.NoteID

You can set this Notes.INI parameter by:

Call Session.SetEnvironmentVar( “Location”, “Office (Mail on Server),” & ofcnoteid$ & “,” & uName.Abbreviated, True )
