What is the easiest way to implement a mail functionality into a custom db?

I don’t want to inherit from template (it contains a lot of garbage for me - cca 13 MB).

I need only basic functionality:

Memo, Reply, Reply With Histoy forms …

Is there an easy way, how to do this without doing this from scratch? I tried to program myself, but it’s not clear no me, how to achieve this (actually, there are a lot of things to deal with)

Juraj,

What exactly are you trying to accomplish here? All Notes databases have mail functionality via Formula language (@MailSend) and via LotusScript (NotesDocument.Send) without needing to code any special forms. Form usage for reading the e-mails won’t come into effect until received by the recipient, who will have the forms from the mail template in their presonal mail dbs (or if being sent to the outside, SMTP will take care of the conversion for you.)

If we knew what you had in mind, we could advise you better.

Hi Brandt,

I am using the mail functionality in Lotus quite a lot … What I need to have now is the: Send, Forward, Reply, Reply with History, Reply to all with history, Reply without attachments …

All those functions are programmed in a normal mail template. So I wanted to copy those forms (Memo, Reply, Reply with history) however, those forms have a lot of dependencies on script libraries used in mail template …

All I want to have is a simple mail template (which contains only the necessary functions mentioned above ).
