Hello,Why are there many time zone settings for the same time zone?
What the difference between setting your time zone to GMT+1 Brussels and GMT+1 Amsterdam? (for example when when propose a new time for a meeting).
Is there some notes functionality or feature that distinguishes between them?
Thanks in advance.

While the major time offset is the same (and EU agreements make everything else pretty much the same), the time zone rules are under local, rather than international, control. Some time zones (like the ones the US and Canada share) are subject to international agreements at all times (in the case of US/Canada, springing from 19th century railway treaties). Although the major offset is the same among multiple time zones, things like DST rules can differ. And while it might be entirely impractical from every conceivable point of view, there’s nothing stopping the Dutch from unilaterally withdrawing from the EU agreements and deciding to move the clocks forward 3 and a half hours on the second Tuesday in May without checking with a single Belgian first.
