I am seeing this a few times an hour on a variety of mail files.
Anyone have any idea?

same result here while running the compact during R5 to R6.5 upgrade… no answer to what it means just yet…

I was getting this message too. It turned out that the notes.ini file was set to read only on the NTFS file permissions (Actually, the whole Data folder was set to Read Only).I removed the read only and the server seems to be running fine now.

I too am getting the same error, against some of the mail files the compact -D is executing on. My data folder is not set to Read Only, and I am still getting this error. Any other ideas or thoughts on why this error is showing up?
