I’ve created a welcome page using the instructions below and everything seems to be working great. It even allows me to add bookmarks to people’s bookmark bars. The one thing I cannot seem to get working however is a startup database.
Once the bookmark.nsf file is created and I’ve added a startup database (bookmarks.nsf done locally, but the startup database is on the server), I try it out on the client (simply just copying the bookmark.nsf file over) and it works great. However once, I’ve put it on the server so it gets pushed to clients through a desktop policy, the bookmark.nsf database does get pushed to clients, minus the startup database that I want to pop up when users start their clients. Does anyone have any advice for me?
Of course if you need additional info to give me advice, just shout.
Sorry, no solutions. I believe I am having the same issue. I used the same instructions you have listed too that are above. I did add the database with the new home page to a Domino server so I could deploy it and used that as the database link. The issue for me is the user’s home page shows the page (actually a frameset) I selected in the “Current Home Page selection” drop down menu BUT in main Home Page frame I see “Unable to load frame’s content: Unable to display element, database does not contain design element”. This makes me think it is not looking at my new Home Page database for the frameset but is still looking at the local bookmarks.nsf. Help Anyone?
