Got a very strange one here.
We have a welcome page that has been deployed to about 20 of our users so far (still in the process of getting them over to rest of users) who have a mixture of 7.02 and 8.5.1 clients (we’ll be upgrading the remaining 7.02 ones shortly).
The problem here is that out of the 20 users, the welcome page works as expected on 19 users (they’re both 8.5.1 and 7.02 users). There is one user however (who is on 8.5.1) who has the following problem:
3/10 times when he starts the notes client, the welcome page pop up as expected. The remaining 7/10 times however, the welcome page doesn’t start and all he gets is the dark blue background wallpaper of the client. When it doesn’t launch, the status bar says ‘using application on local’ indicating it has opened something but nothing is visible. To get it to open when it hits this state, if you have to open a database of some description (i.e. mailbox from the bookmark bar) that database you’ve selected opens and then all of a sudden the welcome page will open also in the tab behind (so the W/P is the 1st tabe and the database selected becomes the 2nd tab).
If I delete the bookmark.nsf file, restart the client (so it re-creates it from the local template; which we haven’t edited in anyway) the same thing happens.
Anyone have any advice or ideas at all?
