Weird Web View Behaviour

Hi All,

I just started a new web app the other day and am trying out some new CSS stuff to make my views look nice. Oddly, when I use a $$ViewTemplate form to display a view on the web it seems to add a ghost “” at the far right. This only happens with categorized views.

Very easy to duplicate…

Create a view with two columns… (not categorized)

Create a $$ViewTemplate… (either embed the view or use a $$ViewBody, it doesn’t seem to make any difference)

Preview it and view the source…

Then go back and categorize the first column…

Preview it again and view the source…

I bet you find an extra “” in there.

Any ideas how to fix this… Or maybe I am doing something wrong. Any and all comments are appreciated.

Cheers,

Mark

Maybe you could remove them via JS and the DOM?

Hi Urs,

Thanks for your remarks… I intend to remove them using javascript but I wonder if this is a bug?

Do you think there might be a way to remove this using my style sheet? If so, any ideas?

Thanks

Mark

You can try the xml/xslt view code in the Domino Web Tools (DWT) project on OpenNTF.
