I have notes 6.5.4 installed and I have never seen this. I have a multi value text field (computed). I have no hide when for it and when I bring up the form and check properties the field data is there but it is not visible on the form (read or edit mode). BUT… when I do a Cntrl-E from the view I can see it.
Any clues?
What I have tried:
Recreating the field (was Conflicts changed to DateConflicts)
Put the field in a table on its own
Put the field on a different location in a table on its own.
If the multi value field is in a table, delete the entire row & save the form. Re-insert the row and recreate the field and save the form again, which should take care of your problem.
I’ve had these kinds of problems before, too, where you know it’s something obvious but somehow it eludes you …
Try typing a letter before the field, like a field label. Does that show up in read mode?
Change the computed field’s formula so that it does a prompt, does that prompt come up?
Presumably, the issue is that there is a value for the field which is not getting computed unless you’re in edit mode. When you do doc properties, are you sure that the field value you see is the same field name?
Recreate the field from scratch, don’t just copy it (not sure from your note which you did).
