Weird ... Multiple embedded views developed in R6.5.1 work under R5 Notes client ... can anyone confirm this?

Weird…

We have a Notes client database developed using Domino Designer 6.5.1. The database sits on an R6 server. The database uses the Notes client only – it is not a web app.

Now we find that our corporate upgrade to the R6.5.1 Notes client is being delayed and the database developed under Designer R6.5.1 must be deployed to existing R5.0.11 Notes clients.

The database makes heavy use of multiple embedded views on various forms. Guess what? The R5.0.11 Notes client correctly displays the multiple embedded views!

Has anyone else experienced this “new” R6 feature running successfully under R5? Before risking a high-profile failure, I’d like to bounce this off the Notes community. Can what I described possibly be correct?

Yes, but do not try it in any client before 5.0.11 I believe…

Yep, 5.0.11 is correct, and I believe that the views all need to be in the same DB as well to work in the R5 client.
