I need some pointers on how to setup an easy webmail solution for my users. HTTP is fine, no need for SSL solution.I have a Domino server on DMZ for authentication. How do i set it up so he users can read ths mail on their “local” domino server on the LAN/WAN(we have many servers distributed)? The mails are not stored on the server on DMZ. My aim is an easy solution to read mail “on the road”, from any browser.
On your Domino server in the DMZ, create a database using the Domino Web Access Redirect template. Follow the instructions in the database for setting it up. Test it and you should be ready to go. Once it is up, and a user logs in, the Redirector will send them to their home mail server.
Thank you. It’s set up and it looks ok, until the point it actually finds my server. But it add the internal name FQDN on the server to the web address. Exampel: The server on DMZ is called webmail.company.com, when it finds my server inside of the network (which is called “test”). The URL comes out like this : test.webmail.company.com/mail/maildatabase.nsfI’m not sure, but i think the problem is that “test” server name is not a public dns name, its only recognized internally in my organization.
Did you try playing around with the settings in the Redirector? Maybe your Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of your Domino server isn’t recognized by your DNS?
