I’m not sure exactly what you are trying to do. But here are some customization resources.

Additionally, there a couple of developerWorks articles here, but they are a little bit out of date. (For example, they talk about a skin customization tool, which is no longer needed. You can now edit the DWA stylesheets using Domino Designer).
