Webmail template without Java Applet?

Hi,

Many users complaint that they cannot start the Java applet properly when using webmail. Though we have taught them to install the JVM, it is troublesome and impossible sometimes, say, when the user is in an Internet Cafe that does not allow installations.

I have searched the forum and found many complaints about this issue, but seems there is no solution yet.

Is there any way that we can use the webmail without Java applet? Or anyone has tried to modify the design? Or any 3rd party mail template for that (no matter free or paid)?

Million Thanks!

Eric

All you need to do is to make a copy of the template and turned off the view applet, action bar applet, & rich text body applet. I am not sure what template you are using since they all can do web mail, but if you turn these items “off” you will have your desired results. I don’t think there is a pre-made mail template with no java.

Hi,

Thanks! Would you mind telling me what design elements contain those applets that I can turn off?

Also would like to confirm if user still can access those actions after turning off those applets?

Thanks!

Eric
