I also have two internet domains, one for the company as a whole (email, web, etc) and another for the new Intranet application. The company one is about 20characterslong.com and the intranet is 6chars.net. Fundamentally easier to deal with but we don’t want to brand on this domain.
We are using Internet Sites for all of these boxes, including Web Site, SMTP Inbound and Web SSO. It’s the Web SSO that I come before you now.
When we access servername.20characterslong.com, it points to the custom login page and we can get into the intranet site without issue and things work great. That’s awesome but that’s also a lot of typing if someone doesn’t just have a shortcut to it.
When we access www.6chars.net we get the same login page, but when we login one of two things happens. Generally it kicks us back to the login page, or, based on certain attempts, we get to the main window and we are prompted to login again to various frames. Kind of annoying.
The Primary Internet Domain is 20characterslong.com, and 6chars.net is one of the alternate domains. I don’t even know where to look at this point.
