Web site(domain) configuration

Hi,

I need some help with Domino administration.

My ISP is blocking port 80 traffic. I am using a third party to forward my domain

from www.mydomain.com to ww2.mydomain.com:portnumber/. I can see that the port is open and I can ping the domain name and get the resulting IP.

However, “in domino”, when I try to access the domain through the browser it stated that a connection could not be made( actually showing ww2.mydomain.com)

I think that it is due to an incorrect Domino configuration.

I have tried it with Internet sites as well.

Here is what I got:

1.Domain name: MyDomain.com

  1. FQIHN Mail.mydomain.com

  2. HTTP TCP/IP port changed from 80 to new port(New port is open etc)

  3. Internet Site setup for www.mydomain.com ( Internet sites is enabled in the server doc)

Any help\suggestions would be great.

Regards,

Bafie

You can ping, so the server is up. But ping does not say uou can access a special port.Try to access your server with its Ip address : http://x.x.x.x:port from outside your isp of course. You will know if you can access your web server.

Some web server does not accept ping but are up. From my home I cannot ping www.cisco.com but can access it.
