Hello,i’m trying to run a Web Service on a Domino Server running on a CentOS release 4.4 final. Everytime i try to open the Web Service i get the Error Message:
Error 500
HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - The Web Service could not be run.
The Http Server is working fine and i am able to authenticate the User and access the database.
Has anybody an idea what is running wrong here?

Is there anything else controling the HTTP Stack… ie is Domino using the OS to do the web server actions?
Windows IIS / AS400 blah blah blah.
This would point to PORT 80 already being used and because the HTTP taks cant confirm port 80 is free then it will fail… try and change the port to bring up 2 web engines on the same server.

Did you find a solution about this? I am facing the same issue running a web service on Red Hat Linux 4 server.I take the same web service on a window domino server and it’s working well…

No there is nothing else listening on port 80. I changed the port in order to ensure this. As mentioned in another thread i also made sure the Web Service is signed by the server with all needed rights.

Finally, the following package xorg-x11-deprecated-libs was missing, install it and it solves the problem.

I’m encountering the same error on a Windows Server. HTTP task is enabled. The web services run on two other servers and on a local client, but I’m not able to figure out any configuration differences. Does anybody have an idea if there are any additional tasks that have to run or anything else that can cause the error message? No other HTTP task is running on the machine.
