I have a problem with Domino clearing out selected values when the form refreshes. The problem didn’t appear until R6.
The application is a customized “people picker” for web apps. There are 3 fields involved: FirstLetter, EntryList, ChosenList. FisrtLetter is a field that has all the first letters of the person abbreviated names. EntryList is a DbLookkup for all abbreviated names beggining with FirstLetter. (Changing FirstLetter refreshes the form so the DbLookup can execute.) Values from EntryList can be selected and copied to ChosenList. When the user is finished selecting names, clicking OK will assign the ChosenList to the computed names field on the originating form.
Problem Scenario:
I choose a person whose name begins with “A.” Then I switch to choose another person whose name begins with “C.” The previously selected names are forgotten when Domino refreshes the form. Arghh. Very agitating.
Note: If I close the people picker, Domino will retain the values previously chosen; however, if I want to select multiple names beginning with different letters while opening the box just once, it doesn’t work.
We’re submitting it to Lotus as an R6 bug, but I was hpoing someone might have a fix for the bug. Thanks.
