Web: OLE objects stored in Documents

I have a documentation database that stores pdf-files as attachment and word/excel files as exmbedded objects (OLE).When I open these documents in Notes client I’m able to read both attachments and objects (OLE).

Opening the same documents in a Web browser, I cannot read/open the objects (attachments are ok).

I want to keep Word/Excel files as objects for easy editing, and both attachment and objects should be shown as icons. When I double click on the icon, the object should open up in i.e. Word.

Does anybody knows how to solve this?

Subject: Web: OLE objects stored in Documents

The web server needs to be running on a windows machine and have "DominoLookInRegistryForOLE=1"in the notes.ini. The application would need to

be registered on the server too.

If the notes.ini isn’t set, the web server uses a built in list, but neither word nor excell are in the list.

Thanks for your reply Mark,

I entered your settings in Notes.ini, and installed the complete MS Office-package on the Domino server, but still only get a “dead” Word-icon in my Web browser.

Have you been able to implement the settings successfully on your server?

If yes, which software release of the Domino server are you using?

I appreciate your help
