I am getting the Web navigator retrival process not running error too. Is there a setting or something?

Check the Location document.Check the ADVANCED tab,
then make sure under Web Retriever that
‘perweb.nsf’ is listed as the Navigator database.

I had two users with the same problem. A similar error message, “Cannot open the web navigator database," occurs when a user tries to open a message that includes html.I verified that perweb.nsf is already specified in the location document, but I found that perweb.nsf itself did not exist in the user’s data directory. Easy enough, I created one for the user using the template. The error persisted. Then I changed the Internet Browser in the location document from “Microsoft Internet Explorer” to “Notes” and then specified “from Notes workstation” for Retrieve/Open pages (this option will become available after you specify Notes for your Internet browser). The user was then able to open the message without a problem. No more error messages. I changed the location document setting for Internet Browser back to “Microsoft Internet Explorer” and everything still works correctly.

This is a bug in my opinion.
I’ve seen this for a while, and every time I switch the “Internet Browser” in the location document from “Microsoft Internet Explorer” to “Notes” and then specify “from Notes workstation” …save the document. Then go back and switch it to IE, save the document, everything works as expected.

I agree. From the evidence here it appears that to open a html email the Web Navigator needs to exist. Changing to “Notes from Workstation” creates this database so even if you change back to IE it still works.I would expect that in later versions of Notes the Web Navigator would be created automatically as the use of HTML emails becomes more prevalent.
