Don’t know the answer to your q, but create a blank navigator. We’ll call it webLaunch. Next, create a form $$NavigatorTemplate for webLauch. This will be your home page.

Hello Joseph,

Using your technique, how do you have the form open with the form in edit mode. The fields are not present and appears that the form is being opened via ?ReadForm Command.

Because the drop-down list for all thinkable launch options might become too long and unmanageable.

There is an easy workaround to make any design element a launch option:

You create a frameset and specify the form (or page or view or whatever else) as the content of one of the frames. Remove all other frames if you want only that form (or page etc.) to display. Then you specify the frameset as your initial launch option in the database properties.
