Has anyone been able to use an embedded outline in a layer/div and target an embedded view that is in the same form but a different layer rather than using frames?
I have only been able to “fake” this with limited success.
If I make an outline entry use an action to set a field value:
Field SelectedView:=“ViewName”
I can then make the embedded view select the view based on that field value using the simple formula:
SelectedView
The initial caveat is that if you place the field being set on the form, or if you put anything other than just the field name in the embedded view formula, you don’t get the selected view. You cannot set the embedded view formula to something like:
@if(SelectedView=“”;“DefaultView”;SelectedView)
The second caveat is that when you select a document from the view, it does not open in the layer, it opens in the current window(or IFrame) and if you click a twistie, it opens in the current window/IFrame as well.
So I have not been able to create anything that is useful.
I am working on an integration project combining IIS/Ektron with Domino and I don’t want to be slammed by the IIS developers for using framesets when CSS based layouts are commonly used now.
