Web application issue

I have just created a web form on a web application that sends a link to the approver via email with a link of the doc. The problem I have is that when the approver clicks on the link it does not open the document but opens the default framesets. What do I need to do to the application inorder for the link to open the document directly?

Below is the link that the user recives that opens the default(appframe) framesets.

http://intranet.xxxxxx.com/apps/xxxxxx.nsf/appframe?open&PI.6UQLK6

Construct the url like below:http://intranet.xxxxxx.com/apps/xxxxxx.nsf/0/DocumentUNID?openDocument

In my web apps that are framed, I usually have a page open and it checks for a parameter in the URL such as id=xxx. If it sees that parameter, then it opens that document within the context of the appropriate frameset. If not, it opens the default stuff.

You need to generate this link using the domino URL command Open Document which uses the document Unique ID or a unique key in a view (first sorted column), there are several options on how to do this:

1.Opening from a view using a unique key in the first sorted column of the view:

http://intranet.xxxxx.com/apps/xxxx.nsf/[ViewNameorAlias]/[UniqueKey]?OpenDocument

2.Opening form a view using the document Notes UID

http://intranet.xxxxx.com/apps/xxxx.nsf/[ViewNameorAlias]/[NotesUID]?OpenDocument

3.Opening directly using the document Notes UID

http://intranet.xxxxx.com/apps/xxxx.nsf/0/[DocUID]?OpenDocument

If you are generating the email or link using formula language, you can use the @DocumentUniqueID function to get the Notes ID:

Formula language for example 3

MyURL := “http://intranet.xxxxx.com/apps/xxxx.nsf/0/” + @Text(@DocumentUniqueID) + “?OpenDocument”

Thanks, I used formula language and it works. The only question stil lingering in my mind is that the format I used before works on all our other applications. I dont know why it does not work on this new application

if it works for one - it will work another

something is different - find that something, and you have your answer -
