Web Application: Accessing Pages other than Default page by Link

I set up a database (say at www.example.com/example/test.nsf), added a remapping for the website and created a login form in test.nsf (which is mapped in domcfg.nsf).

The remapping ensures that I can access the site at www.test.com instead of the link above.

Question 1

If I type in the URL www.test.com, everything works fine. I get asked to login and then get access to the contents.

Trouble starts, when I try to access a page directly, e.g. having a link www.test.com/links/doc1. - Once I am logged in (as described above), I can paste this URL into the browser and get straight to the relevant document. However, if I try go get to this URL directly (i.e. with all browser windows closed, so that I am logged off), it fails.

Any thoughts? Might the mapping not work correctly?

Question 2

Separate from the problem above. Once I am logged in, the short URL www.test.com resolves in www.test.com/example/test.nsf etc. - I would like to avoid this and tried to set up a substitution rule (/* with /example/test.nsf/*), but unsuccessfully, it still continues to show the entire path.

Again, would much appreciate any thoughts.

Thank you
