Web access printing issue - email content missing when attachment > 2MB

An issue was brought up to me recently which I found to be a system-wide problem for us. When a user tries to print an email which has an attachment of roughly 2 MB or greater…the body of the email does not print. It simply only prints sender/receiver information and the subject.

However, if the email does not contain an attachment…or if it contains an attachment(s) that is less than roughly 2 MB, everything prints fine.

After some troubleshooting, it appears that it does not matter what type of attachment it is, the printer model the message is being printed to, or the user account.

This issue is new to us (just brought to our attention), however, I cannot find any information on the web to assist on resolving this issue. Any thoughts?? Again, this is only an issue from the Domino Web Access, not while printing from the client. We are using Domino version 7.0.2 on all of our servers and all of the users are using the DWA7 template. We had attempted to convert the user which reported the issue back down to DWA6, however, the issue still existed.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Have you found a solution to this problem. I am having the same symptom with the DWA7 template in Domino 7.0.2.

We have this situation on our servers, the only diference is about the size of the attachment. If the email contains an attachment(s) that is more than 1 MB the error occurs. We are using Domino 7.0.2 too on all of our servers and users are using DWA7 template.

Isn’t 2Mb roughly when the body field starts splitting itself into mulitple field instances on the document? e.g. an attachment of 2MB migh mean you have to RT Items on the document called Body with the second one containing the original text and the first one containing the attachment?

Try adding a second field to the memo form called attachments and place your 2mb attachments in there leaving the body RTf for the rest of the message.
