Warning when I try to send e-mail

I just downloaded Notes 8.0.1 yesterday. Upgrade from v7 was successful.

On the new version, when I try to send an e-mail, I get several warning messages - “Type mismatch on external name: CHECKQUOTA” followed by “Variant does not contain an object”. Both are warnings and I get an e-mail message input screen. My signature append at the end of te e-mail with my name and particulars (setup in the mail preferences) does not show up in the e-mail message.

I get similar “Type mismatch” message when I open calendar entries with different external names.

Please let me know what I need to do to resolve these issues? Thanks.

I had the same problem!

What helped me out was to

  • close my database

  • select the database on the workspace with the right mouse button

  • “select Application” → “Refresh Design”

  • select the home database server to get the design from

  • be patient and let the refresh process to terminate

After that I could create a mail without any warnings and with my signature attached to it.
