HelloJust to mention that I had this problem few times
with previous versions
I installed 8.0.2 on top of the 7.0.2 and I that I lost all my data (really all)
one of my friend went also from 6.5.4 to 8.0.2 and lost everything
with 8.5.1
same for 8.5.1 and this one is frightening because it can happen anytime
yesterday my 8.5.1 did not want to start anymore complaining about an existing running process (even after reboot). The dialog box proposed a NSD and when I clicked on it everything crashed.
I reinstalled on the top asking for a repair
now my Data folder is not accessible anymore (i’m admin but cannot go inside, cannot erase… and it seems to be epmty)
I’m stuck with that
a) this problem happens only with the Eclipse based client
I have brought back Domino servers and Notes clients from the deadland.
Are you sure you are looking at the right folder? Do a search for Names.nsf. You may find you have Multi-User version installed and the Data is really in the Documents and Setings or Users folders…
that 8.0.2 and later uses C:\program files\ibm\lotus\notes\data as default path, even if the older Version’s-Data Folder is still there (Lotus7 was C:\program files\lotus\Data)it will use the new default path and ignore the old one, so i guess u’ve 2 Data Folders now
