Warning - 802 CCH2

Just a word of warning for those who use Notes 802 CCH2 in a multi-user install environment.

It does not work.

CCH2, among other things, fixes up a lot of workspace corruption issues found in Notes 802. It does this well. For one user.

If you have multi-user clients installed on the PC, it works perfectly for the first person who logs in and it is set up for. When a second person logs on to the PC, Notes gets to the login screen, then when the splash screen closes, notes does NOT open. This is 100% reproduceable in our experience.

We can fix this by uninstalling CCH2 and deleting the workspace manually. then multiple users can access Notes 802 again, but they are open to the workspace corruptions that frequently occur on the vanilla 802 client.

I have raised a PMR as 100’s of our users who share PCs are affected. Will keep you informed.

Subject: 802 CCH3 may have a fix for this

SPR MMQS7K352F was opened for this scenario when the operating system language is Spanish/Portuguese. I’m not sure if that exactly matches your scenario or not. CCH3 was released this week and is available on Fix Central.
