"Warn me about blank message subjects" in iNotes

In the Notes 9 preferences, there is an option “Warn me about blank message subjects” which is much appreciated by users.

But enabling this option in the Notes client has no effect in iNotes and the option is not shown either in the iNotes preferences.

Is this a bug?
is it by design? (why then, i don’t see a difference in use)
or could it be suppressed by a policy that i overlooked?

Subject: Enhancement request

There is an enhancement request under SPR # FYOU7APBRK. Open a pmr with support and ask to add a customer report to the SPR.

If your PMR would be subscribed for the said SPR, it may increase the chances that IBM would consider deploying this request for future releases.
