"waitrose pizza" email mystery error

I received an email from waitrose pizza inviting me to come and eat pizza give remarks and get £60 and travel expenses.Nice except when I tried to open it in Notes client 6.5.3 from a 6.5.3 server the client crashed every time.

I can open it in DWA ok.

There are no attachments in it and it is from Waitrose (well bakkavor.co.uk) anyway so it is hardly likely to be malicious.

The only thing I can find is the sendto field is quite big: 5680 bytes because they have put all receiver’s names in there instead of in the bcc field.

Is this a new notes limit I’ve found, or just a crap bug?

My initial GUESS is that it is an HTML email and that the Notes client is having trouble rendering the HTML. (Surprise, surprise.) Does the email show OK if you highlight it in your Inbox view (ie. don’t open it) and then “Preview in Web Browser”?

Waitrose. My, my… aren’t we posh, sir! :wink:
