Waiting message when loading form with embedded view

Hello,

I use a form with embedded view.

This view select only some documents and the view have some 600 documents.

Before display the form, IE display white page during 10 secondes.

Is it possible to display a waiting message (on the page or on a popup) ?

I don’t know where put the javascript code, because I don’t know why but it seems that domino do nothing before reading the embedded view.

Thanks to help me

Kind regards

Nicolas

Nicolas,

I would mess with maybe using a there and have the span display your waiting text until it gets overwritten with the view contents, but that’s just a guess, I haven’t done that myself.

What I’d be concerned with is the long delay. I’d check into why my view is so slow …

You may want to consider hiding the embedded view in a collapsed section so that you do not take the hit on view indexing when the document opens. We have found that if an embedded view is hidden inside a collapsed document section the document will open right away even if the view has not been built yet. That will at least give you a chance to warn the user about the delay so that they know what is going on.
