Vista Notes Configuration Problem

Hello:I’m trying to configure a Notes 7.0.1 client on Windows Vista, however I run into a problem when I specify the user’s mail server. At this point, I get an error indicating that the server cannot be found. I have tried using the server name, the host name as well as the ip address, none of them work. I’m able to telnet to the server from the client and other clients running on XP can connect to the server. The server’s ip address has also been specified in the hosts file. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Firewall on the Vista box blocking 1352?

Thanks for your response. We are able to telnet to port 1352. Also tried this with the firewall turned off.

Please disable ‘windows defender’ in vista and check.
